The proposed care home will provide 65 nursing and specialist dementia friendly en-suite bedrooms with associated day rooms (lounges and dining rooms), ancillary accommodation (bathrooms, WC’s, nurse stations, clinic rooms), communal facilities (hair salon, cinema, café, etc.) and support facilities (kitchen, laundry, staff facilities and plant rooms). The proposed elevational treatment has been influenced by the Tarporley village vernacular. The proposal utilises a combination of steep-pitched, grey tiled, hipped roofs with low overhanging eaves and gallows brackets interspersed by feature gables, flat-head dormers, feature chimneys and bays. The proposed development brings significant benefits to the village, increasing much needed off site car parking in Tarporley by 50%.
